With 20 years of experience in customs and compliance management, I am passionate about helping clients navigate the complex and dynamic global trade environment. As the Manager of Customs & Compliance at Koole Terminals, I oversee the compliance function for the largest independent liquid bulk storage company in Northwest Europe, ensuring adherence to trade regulations, customs procedures, and internal policies. I also manage the relationships with external stakeholders, such as customs authorities, trade associations, and auditors, and build strong rapport with internal teams and clients. Previously, I worked as a Senior Manager of Indirect Tax - Global Trade at EY and a Senior Manager of Global Trade Advisory at Deloitte, where I advised multinational companies on various aspects of global trade, such as tariff classification, valuation, origin, customs audits, duty optimization, and risk management. I hold an Executive Master of Compliance from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Certified Public Accountant credential. I am proficient in Dutch and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. My goal is to leverage my compliance and global trade expertise, my CPA credential, and my customer relationship skills to deliver value-added solutions and services to Koole Terminals and its clients.
