It's been a real pleasure working with CEO and Co-founder Jason Hoffman-Bice and Co-founder Randy Erb on developing and bringing to market new ground-breaking technology for thermoforming of advanced ceramic materials for thermal management, packaging and radiation shielding applications, among others. This is a remarkably capable and motivated team. The technology stands to address some long-standing limitations in high-power density electronics thermal management in constrained space, as well as offering unique advantages in radiation shielding and electrical insulation due to its nature as a phononic conductor. We are targeting applications from aerospace and defense to renewable energy and electric vehicles, to nuclear and fusion and are discovering new ones all the time.

Working with CEO to refine business- and go-to-market strategies, develop new business opportunities, advise on operations efficiencies to accelerate growth and improve profitability.

- Achieved new product design-in wins with several EW and SIGINT programs of record resulting in over $50M backlog over 8 years- Oversaw the capture and execution of over $25M in federal S&T funds aligned against company’s technology and product roadmaps- Secured over $10M in non-dilutive government investment in manufacturing capability development and capacity increase- Profitably grew annual revenue at >15% CAGR over 5 years with no outside investment- Developed strong relationships with Congressional office staff- Transitioned the company from being 100% SBIR performer to >75% coming from product sales and major programs- Grew the team to 35 employees while establishing a strong culture of cross-departmental collaboration, teamwork, product focus and customer dedication- Established the company as a trusted supplier of mission-critical solutions in the RF/microwave electronic components and subassemblies segment of the aerospace and defense market

Development of innovative rf, microwave, and millimeter-wave ferrite technologies for commercial, defense, and space applications, including power electronics, radar, as well as wireless and satellite communications.

Design, modelling, fabrication, and testing of high frequency magnetic devices, including circulators, phase shifters, filters, etc. Development, deposition, and characterization of structural, dielectric, magnetic, and microwave properties of advanced materials, including magnetic thin films, composites, etc.

Design and verification of printed circuit boards for machine vision applications. Signal integrity, HALT, image quality testing and board debug. Development of scripting tools for validation of netlists and bills of materials. Development of a web-based inventory management application.

Development of an embedded C++ application used to diagnose, calibrate, and service an automated cervical cytology imaging system.
