Intern at Singapore Heart Foundation under school programmes department.Singapore Heart Foundation has been working through various aspects to create a society with healthy hearts.Working under school department has taught me ranges of skills which includes project management, negotiation, nutrition workshops, first aid, health screening and physical exercises.Under the guidance of capable and respected project supervisors and intern team, we managed to create a new school physical education programme which was called Hip Hop for Heart.Hip Hop for Heart targeted primary and secondary students to be more active through hip hop dance. Pilot study to measure their physical activity through pedometer counts and heart rate monitors were also part of the report.The study concluded the programme has been a success in increasing physical activity level through learning and practicing hip hop dance.
