Antonia Menta graduated with an MAT in elementary education from Southern Connecticut State University in December 2022. She is currently gaining experience in the education field while working as a 4th grade teacher for Hamden Public Schools in Hamden, Connecticut. Antonia is Certified as an initial educator (305 Elementary education) In 2018, Antonia graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Health. For the following three years she worked as a health inspector at The Aspetuck Valley Health District, formerly (The Westport Weston Health District). During the pandemic she felt the most fulfilled when educating the public and that’s where she found her calling to become a teacher.Antonia has always been passionate about teaching. In high school, she worked with children as an after-school counselor for the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club. As an after school counselor she loved building relationships with the students, teaching them, and learning from them as well.Antonia’s academic areas of interest are reading and writing. In her spare time, she likes staying active at the gym, reading fiction novels, and writing her own short stories for fun.
