Strong collaboration with industry on point of care diagnostic devices and organ-on-chip models, for drug screening and medical studies support. Research work mainly focused on Lab-on-a-Chip, bioengineering, nanotechnologies, electrokinetics, optical and electronic biosensing, micro and nano fluidics, micro physiological systems and biomimetics.

Actively involved and lead in research and tech transfer projects in collaboration with private companies and hospitals.

Biomedical Research in artificial intelligence, microfluidics, biophysics and in silico models at the Biomedical Research Center in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN), of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, linked to the Ministries of Health and Consumption and of Science and Innovation, of the Government of Spain. Physically at at the Biomedical signal processing and interpretation Group of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC).

Development of the DEParray technology and platform.Cell Manipulation & Analysis. Responsible of finding novel biophysical approaches for single cell manipulation, analysis and characterization and associated novel diagnostic tools.Also responsible of biological experimentation during 6 months.Member of the company scientific and technical decisions making committee.

Evaluation of the possibility of coexistence without interferences of two satellite systems: the SNOE (NASA) and the CLUSTER (ESA). Performed tasks: 1. In Lab hardware setup realization, using a part of the CLUSTER system and the specifications given by NASA of its SNOE system, to model and simulate the simultaneous reception of telemetry signals from the two systems. 2. Bit Error Rate (BER) and several other parameters study to evaluate the viability of having the two systems working simultaneously in Space. 3. Submission of a report giving documented opinion on the interference problems that could exist in case of having both systems in space and how critical they could be.
