Mission: to find energy paths with the least environmental impact and the greatest potential for efficiency in the short, medium, and long term. Risk analysis on premature obsolescence in energy production/use technologies. Lecture given in 2019 at the São Paulo Brazil-Germany Chamber in a seminar promoted by the 'Fraunhofer Liaison Office Brazil'. The theme of the lecture was ‘Trends in Production and Use of Energy around the world during the next decades’ - combating climate change. Involved in the development of a 2.2 MWp photovoltaic plant in the State of Pernambuco to supply 57 drugstores belonging to Raia-Drogasil´s chain. The same is being done for a 1.8 MWp PV plant being built in Rio de Janeiro to supply 43 drugstores of the same group operating in the ENEL-RJ power distribution concession area. Within the same segment, a similar solution (remotely located solar plants to supply retail stores through the local utility's grid) is in the process of being signed by Lojas Americanas in nine different states of Brazil. In 2024 is giving consulting support to ABVE (Brazilian Association for Electric Vehicles), helping it sail through attacks from myth and fake news makers, competing biofuel lobbies, distorted information etc. All work is extensively supported by established sources and self-developed energy balance demonstrations. Right Energy now also offers environmental impact accountability with focus on CO2 emissions from different fuels and systems. The scope now widened to include energy storage and GH2 production. Energy storage without which the energy transition simply will not occur due to the transient behavior of the two most relevant renewable energy solutions, solar and wind. And GH2 because it will be an important element in reducing carbon intensity in sectors like steel, refineries, petrochemical. industry and in some special cases for energy storage.

Between 2012 and 2014 carried out 2 consulting assignments and a lecture for Siemens do Brasil, whose purpose was to evaluate the advantages, disadvantages and risks associated with the use of dedicated biomass crops for energy purposes. During this same period operated as a free-lance agent in Brazil for the German renewable energy company Juwi AG, specialist in PV solar, wind and biogas. Later in 2014, along with the Westinghouse-Plasma’s representatives in Brazil prospected municipalities over the possibility of implementing large waste-to-energy units for processing municipal solid waste (MSW) through 1000 tones/day plasma gasifiers (50 MWe). The initial focus was on the ‘Baixada Santista’s roughly 8 municipalities with more than 2000 tones/day of MSW production. This specific plasma technology faced terminal problems in 2016, in a Tees Valley, England, project when test runs during the commissioning of the first of the two 1,000 tones/day gasifiers faced almost irreversible problems, after which the idea was abandoned.

Has worked directly for clients such as Bayer, Monsanto, Philco-Hitachi, Leite Paulista (CCL), Refinações de Milho Brasil (Corn Products Co.), Reckitt, among others. Member of the marketing team that repositioned a Kitchen Cleaner from Reckitt that was set to be discontinued due to poor sales. The product was repositioned as a Multipurpose Cleaner useful for all rooms of a house. By doing this the product went from near-death to becoming Brazil's best selling multipurpose cleaner ever since, famously known as "Veja Multiuso".

Worked from what was then the Technological Center for Pulp, Paper, and Forest resources. Was part of a very large multidisciplinary team that brought together several laboratories from all the IPT. While doing so became in charge of gathering a big part of the knowledge about gasification that was available in the end of the 70's. The project was contracted by the State-Owned company CESP that was looking for the technical-economic feasibility of obtaining methanol as fuel for vehicles made from the gasification of eucalyptus' wood chips. The "driver" would be the use of surplus electricity generated by CESP powerplants to increase the efficiency of the gasification process. The synthetic gas thus produced (CO + H2) would then be used for the synthesis of methanol through a processes known as catalytic reforming of the syngas using steam at relatively high pressure. The concept, though, never left the papers over which it was written.
