Orchestral Conductor (BA, National Conservatory of Music, MFA, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA) , Choral conductor (MFA, CMU, Pittsburgh, PA) Classical Pianist (BA with Honors, UNAM, Mexico). Accompanist, Choral Director and Orchestra Director, made his Opera conducting debut with La Traviata. He was a Student of the most prominent choral and orchestral conductors: Juan Pablo Izquierdo and composer Dr. Samuel Jones, (orchestral), Dr. Robert Page, (choral conducting at Carnegie Mellon) and a personal invitation for an apprenticeship with Maestro Essa-Pekka Salonen (Orchestral conducting). He started working at the NATIONAL OPERA COMPANY as one of the main Repetiteurs (Accompanist) under the baton of many international Opera conductors: Alfredo Silipigni, Miro Belamaric. A Specialist in Opera, Maestro Espinal has participated in more than 60 Opera Productions from every aspect of the field: As an accompanist, prompter, assistant to the Stage Director, off-stage bands and chorus, assistant to the conductor, and CHORUS MASTER (Artistic Founding Director of the Teatro del Bicentenario Opera Chorus) preparing the chorus for International conductors Arthur Fagen, Marco Boemi, Marzio Conti, Sébastien Rouland,etc. His work had rage reviews. A strong promoter of the Arts in Communities where Classical Music, Opera and contemporary music was never part of it, during his private apprenticeship with maestro Essa-Pekka Salonen, (at that time, artistic Director of the Los Angeles Phil), he became the artistic founding director of the Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral Choir and started his own non profit organization; Harmonies Girls Choir", who reached a high level of musicianship to the level of been professional hired at the SAINT DENIS FESTIVAL in Paris France (2007) becoming also an exclusive recording artist of French Recording label MILAN RECORDS, who distribute his CD world wide.

Starting from zero a choir that would represent the Hispanic community at Our lady of The Angels Cathedral. The choir was formed with complete amateurs, with little or not experience at all in singing, nor previous background on choral music most of them. I had to teach them how to sing, how to read music (very basic), compose music for the Liturgy, make most of the arrangements for the Mass (since there were very few arrangements for church services in Spanish),traing two yound Ladies as young as 15 years old, to be able to become cantors, and many other duties. The Level of the Choir after a couple of years, was widely recognized, at the level of performing in CAL STATE University twice, the Ford Amphitheatre and the spectacular invitation to participate at the welcome concert of maestro Gustavo Dudamel, performing Beethoven's 9th Symphony at the Hollywood Bowl.
