Hydrological and hydraulic studies and analyses: statistical analysis and operational research; territorial management, geographical information and resources; environmental quality.He has acquired specific experience in defining and using computer systems applied to engineering and in developing programs of calculation, also interfaced with C.A.D. systems, in relation both to various aspects of engineering design and to the management of territorial information with particular emphasis on environmental quality.Besides studying and completing numerous procedures of technical, statistical and hydrological calculation, he has contributed to the development of many mathematical models, some of the most important being: Mathematical model for the evaluation of solid transport in natural water courses, Mathematical model of inflows and outflows for the reconstruction of flood waves, Mathematical model for the dynamic analysis of the movement of buoyancy sluices for damming the outlets of the inlets of the Venetian Lagoon.
