I lead the open contracting strategy in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, which includes support for governments, civic monitoring, electronic government procurement, and sustainable public procurement. Previously I conceptualized http://si.nl.gob.mx/transparencia and currently supervise national #InfraestructuraAbierta Responsible for the organization and celebration of the National Open Data Conference in Mexico. #DataConMX I participated in the working group drafting the General Law of Acquisitions, Leases and Services of the Public Sector, in charge, mainly of the chapters of transparency, open data and the contracting national platform.

I participated in and coordinated different diagnostic studies related to public procurement in Mexico. 1) Diagnosis for CompraNet with OECD; 2) Methodology for Assessing Procurement Systems, México with SESNA (Executive Secretariat of the Anti-corruption System), IADB & OECD; and 3) Diagnosis for the transparency of beneficial ownership in Mexico, attending the EITI commitment, with SFP (Ministry of Public Administration).

I was part of the working group responsible for translating the OCDS to mexican-spanish, with the World Bank. I developed the MX extensions for OCDS. I was responsible for OCDS implementation at INAI and for the development of a digital tool to capture and visualize contracting data.
