Communicates and responds to customer concerns and requirements, while assisting the quality manager in all plant quality assurance activities. Responsible for ensuring that products, processes, facilities and systems conform to quality standards while resolving production quality concerns. Troubleshoots quality issue to come up with solutions that are comprehensive, perform investigation and follows-up to ensure findings are correct. Oversees the processes of quality specific to the production line to maintain consistency, reduce costs, bring about process improvement and maximize equipment capability. Generates or reviews reports and confers with quality assurance, production, upper management and engineering personnel to solve work related problems. Develops and implements quality related documents including control plans, visual aids and work instructions. Supports pre-production launch and production as required at required at customer assembly plants. Supports customer in daily yard repair through arranging, tracking and disputing issues that arise. Travel to customer plant to quickly resolve quality concerns. Manages containment of parts at customer and Lear assembly plants and provides daily information for containment and cost status. Applies statistical process control methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes. Coordinates production related corrective actions for root cause and corrective action completion. Participates and promotes Continual Improvements activities.
