In this position I am a lead Systems Engineer working on software requirement analysis, user interface design, machine interfacing design (for Systems of Systems). I work with both Android and Windows systems.

Developed, scheduled, and executed flight test plans for autonomous unmanned aerial systems. Worked systems safety and data collection elements for new communications, intelligence, and autonomy systems of systems on board the UAS.

The responsibilities of this position were centered around the design, approval, and execution of flight testing of a group 3 unmanned aerial system for the U.S. Navy. Specific tasks include test planning for various payloads and aircraft modifications. Test planning requires an in depth understanding of flight dynamics, test hazards, aircraft structures, electromagnetic hazards, software integration, payload operation and specific hazards, risk management, and document preparation. The test plan approval process requires extensive written and verbal communication between the test engineer and test item engineers, test sponsors, and safety officials. Test plan execution requires the test engineer to organize personnel and equipmentfor test, understand the test environment and it's effects on test data, and ensure that all test points are safely and adequately covered. After the test the flight test engineer is responsible for producing a test report including a concise and effective test results summary and preliminary results analysis.

The principle responsibility of this position was to provide engineering support for the RQ-23A UAS at the China Lake facility. This included supporting laser integration and approval, electromagnetic susceptibility evaluation and hardening, and payload integration. This required knowledge of UAS operation and design, understanding principles of laser operation, design, and hazards, and understanding the relationships between electromagnetic radiation, electronic components, and hardening materials.

For this position my responsibility was to lead flight test missions on a Group 3 UAS as a contractor for the U.S. Navy. Specific job responsibilities included mission planning, test observation and execution, and supporting test item integration and test planning. Additional roles included test item evaluation on behalf of the sponsor, and ground operation supervisory functions (FOD, HAZMAT, and tool control).

For this position my responsibilities revolved around the design of rotary nozzle type commercial irrigation equipment. Specific responsibilities included testing of prototype and competitor products, design and assembly of prototype parts, and final production part design and testing. Part testing included a wide variety of durability, performance, and efficiency tests and metrics. Design of prototype parts required an understanding of the test results, fluid dynamics, and additive manufacturing and injection molding processes and tradeoffs, as well as use of CAD, FEA, and CFD tools. Design of production posts required a more in depth understanding of injection molding process and specific polymer material properties.
