As a seasoned law enforcement professional with executive and command certifications from the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy, I am deeply committed to enhancing public safety through combating both retail and financial crimes. My certifications include Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (CFCS), Certified Organized Retail Crime Investigator (CORCI), Certified Professional Criminal Investigator (CPCI), and Certified Cryptocurrency Forensic Investigator (CCFI), allowing me to bring specialized knowledge and expertise to the field.In addition to completing the Supervision of Police Personnel program at Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety, I hold a First Line Supervisor Certification and am pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership in Public Safety. I am also a state-certified Firearms and General Law Enforcement Instructor, committed to both operational excellence and advancing education within law enforcement.Since 2018, I have served with the New Mexico Department of Justice, starting in the Anti-Money Laundering Unit and now leading initiatives in the Organized Retail Crime Unit, focusing on curbing retail theft. My experience also includes working as a Task Force Officer with Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Social Security Administration under the U.S. Marshal Service. Additionally, I have served in the Department of Homeland Security and held key roles within the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department, specializing in threat assessments and white-collar crimes.Throughout my career, I’ve been honored with commendations and nominations for the Medal of Valor and Life-Saving Award. My civilian certifications include NMDPS Firearms Instructor, Response to Active Shooter Instructor, and certifications from the American Heart Association and the American College of Surgeons.Passionate about knowledge sharing, I have delivered training courses on identity theft prevention, critical incident response, and retail theft awareness to organizations such as GAP, Inc., the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Kiwanis International.
