• Develop and maintain a strategy for identifying media opportunities and develop long-term coverage and pitching plans; manage the creation and implementation of the City Court Clerk’s social media strategy, while remaining up-to-date on latest trends and tools as it relates to social media and external communications. Preparing, reviewing and processing legal documents, correspondence, motions, and orders. Provide professional and technical assistance to the City of Memphis City Court Clerk office staff in the areas of public and media relations.• Work with individual departments, divisions and organizations to plan and implement appropriate and effective communications/public relations strategies; provide training for staff at all levels in media relations, effective communications, customer service and crisis management • Gather information for and prepare news releases, public service announcements and advertisements to disseminate City Court Clerk Office information and to otherwise facilitate a positive public image; write and edit news and feature articles for newsletters, magazines and various other publications; write and edit copy for brochures, newsletters and fliers; prepare editorial content for the Clerk’s office website, social media and electronic newsletter.
