Co-Management of the Finance Department at CPB Dragados Samsung Joint Venture to deliver the New M5 WestConnex Project in Sydney; Budget AUD 3.9 billion. Key accountabilities:•Reported monthly and yearly statutory reporting to the Executive Committee. Analysed complex data to provide financial evaluation to stakeholders to influence decision making on project strategies, plans and investments.•Developed financial model and cost code structure using awarded tender as base line. Financial Planning & Analysis.•Calculated the monthly revenue and assisted the Senior Contract Administrator with the month application for payment.•Directed cash management operations in the project to include weekly payment runs, sundry payments, cash administration, multiple FX management, management of current accounts and bank relations. Prepared cash flow forecast.•Managed project treasury, proposed and execute investment strategies•Monitored and recorded financial and commercial transactions according to company policies and regulations. •Supervised AP, AR, P&L and GL Accounting compliance. Finance Manager at Dragados Sisk Joint Venture (DSJV) to deliver the C305 – Eastern Running Tunnels as part of the Crossrail Project in London http://www.dsjv.co.uk ; Budget GBP 750 million. NEC-3 Contract Type C (target cost) with open books accounting system.Key accountabilities:•Managed a team up to 7 accountants and administrators.•Monthly forecast and budgeting of final cost outturn for the project, monitoring and carrying out variance analysis.•Provided monthly financial results, insights and recommendations for improvement to the Executive Committee to support and drive the continual achievement of financial goals.•Prepared of year end trial balance, P&L and statutory reports to supported and assisted external and internal audits.•Prepared weekly cash flow forecasts projecting anticipated 8 week look ahead outflows. To achieve neutral cash at each month end before next payment.•Ensured the Joint Venture complied with the AP procedure; from companies set up to the final payment. Managed Finance & Administration Department to deliver the Shanganagh Bray Waste Water Treatment Plant in Dublin; Budget EUR 65 million. Complex multi-contracts Joint Venture structured with multi-level companies.Key accountabilities: • Prepared End of Month financial reports, variations and analysis. Ensure general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and other financial records and schedules are accurately maintained in the company’s ERP system.• Prepared the year-end financial accounts for audit and to liaise with the Auditors prior to sign-off.• Supervised accounts payable staff including; Managing the accounts payable invoice review and posting process, process vendor check runs including invoice selection, printing checks, obtaining signatures and mailing when signed.• Contributed to the preparation of the monthly application for payment, claim justifications and certification receipt for invoice submission.• Maintained procedures to establish tight control over cash transactions. Managed cash surplus and maximised financial investments.• Prepared the project procurement schedule.
