Title: Design and Development of an Innovative and Scalable Web System for Social Car-pooling Management.This project resulted in the full development of a fully functional, market-ready web application for Social Car-pooling management. The system provides an innovative and scalable platform that allows private users to engage in car-pooling with a social dimension, featuring real-time notifications and a chat system to enhance interaction and connectivity. The solution was based on a thorough market and technical analysis, with the system designed using UML methodology (use case diagrams, class diagrams, and activity diagrams) and the entity-relationship model to ensure a robust, user-friendly service.Technologies Used:Server-side: Java, Apache Tomcat servlet container, Comet architectural model for real-time notifications, Spring for dependency injection, Spring MVC for scalable application design, Spring Security for secure access control, Hibernate for database management, and JACKSON for handling JSON data.Client-side: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery for dynamic DOM manipulation, jQuery UI for intuitive widget creation, and Google Maps API for seamless map integration.
