At the DHW Lab I work on a project to project basis practicing design in product, graphic, interior design, and workshop facilitation. the DHW Lab is located in Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand and applies a user-centered approach to healthcare based design problems. There is strong emphasis on empathy, emotion and user experience.Being apart of a forever changing space, multidisciplinary design studio, I have worked on a range of multi-disciplinary projects. Most of my projects have focused on pharmacy related problems which required me to carry out illustrations, computer-aided design, graphic design, 3D printing, model making, workshops, research, and installation.

During my Masters year of study, I took on a part-time lecturing role for a 1st-year product design paper. My role here primarily focused on engaging in discussion with students to help critique their work and teach them design process through making. The role also included assesing and marking the student work.

In between my honors and masters year of study at AUT I resumed my role at Tim Webber Design as a production assistant. My role here consisted of helping manage parts of the manufacture, construction, finishing and delivery of furniture. During the year I also helped with a large lighting installation in Christchurch, New Zealand.

After graduating with my Bachelor's degree in product design, I began to work at Tim Webber design as a production assistant. Tim Webber is a New Zealand based furniture designer that designs both domestic and commercial furniture and lighting. My role here consisted of helping manage parts of the manufacture, construction, finishing and delivery of furniture. I worked here in between my Bachelors and Honours year.

During my second year of university, I carried out the 'Material Matters' project in conjunction with Douglas and Bec. From this, I designed a Vanity mirror which won people's choice award at the 'Material Matters' Exhibition with Douglas and Bec and later was nominated at NZ Best awards in 2014. I took this design and produced a small batch of mirrors to help further my learning of managing costs, resources, and production in a small-scale project. These mirrors were hand finished and sold through Douglas and Bec.
