After the acquisition of ECM SpA by Progress Rail (a Caterpillar Company) from January 2019, reporting directly to the COO, with a team of more than 50 people, I have held the role of production and warehouse manager.As a key user, I supported the implementation of the new ERP system (Microsoft AX Dynamics) for the production, warehouse and service (in house service) part.The change of the company from a family company to a multinational company required a change not only operational, but also in the approach to work activities on which I am working on since the beginning of taking charge of the role.

Since 01/10/2011, reporting directly to the Managing Director, I have held the position of European Supply Chain Manager for Progress Rail Inspection & Information Systems (a Caterpillar Company), I have lead the Sourcing & Production activities of both the Italian and German entities for Railway (Train Inspection) products (including HBD HotBox Detectors and CrossGuard-protection for level crossing).At the end of the first year I began coordinating a team of 5 people, and I am responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through order entry, production planning, procurement and materials management activities. I no longer carry out Purchasing activities.During my time in this role I have gained important professional experience in Purchasing/Procurement activities in addition to becoming a competent user of INFOR ERP Baan software, in particular the production, purchasing, logistics and service modules. I was also the key contact point during the creation of the companies ERP INFOR LN service module in collaboration with INFOR IT consultants, in 2014 and then create the internal service processes.

I was the link between Engineering and Supply Chain. Among my responsibilities were the following:- to propose and carry out product cost evaluation- to share data with the purchasing dept. of the German entity- cost reduction agreements with suppliers of goods and services- to identify and/or review engineering solutions to obsolescence issues- to carry out technical evaluations of new and potential suppliers - be the intermediary between internal manufacturing and external suppliers

I was responsible for production and maintenance of products (chartplotter, GPS receiver, VHF, etc.); analyzing faulty units coming back from the market in order to find and implement solutions I was in charge of quality for our entire portfolio of products (non-conformity management), and I was also in charge of compliance with CE mark for the products.Business trips across Europe and Asia (Malaysia and Taiwan) to manage suppliers’ relationship and to take part in trade fairs to find new products and suppliers.

I was responsible for verifying and validatingnew products for maintenance of those already in production. I was alsothe only person in charge of managing relationship with customer technicaldepartments.

Throughout this experience, made of many work trips in Italy and abroad, I developed interpersonal skills, team work capacities, analysis skills of after sales problems and I learned to design and layout technical documentation
