Antonio Clemente’s work as an environmental geographer spans from the production of remote sensing data to the facilitation of bottom-up integrated spatial planning initiatives. His expertise lies in the application of GIS technologies for the sustainable use and conservation of natural resources. A licensed drone pilot, his applied research experience includes habitat mapping, climate change risk and adaptation, marine spatial planning, land cover mapping, and more. Antonio promotes community-based participatory mapping to reveal social dynamics, fill data gaps and encourage stakeholder buy-in on projects, both within and beyond protected areas.
