As a member of the Infrastructure Team, I ensured our MSP client computers, networks, databases, and systems remained connected and ready for business. I provided onsite and remote support for a variety of clients from industries including food distribution, manufacturing, dental, training labs, and more. The ability to pivot and communicate were key to this role. Great exposure to working in warehouse environments, planning technical projects, and traveling for work. Frequently reached out to ISPs and vendors such as Dell, HP, Cisco, and N-Able to address questions, POs, or recurring issues. Interacted with different operating systems such as Linux, Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11 and MacOS on computers; Microsoft Server 2016/2019 on Windows Hyper-V or VMWare; Android and iOS on mobile devices; and Cisco IOS and RouterOS (MikroTik) in network settings. Leveraged security services such as Armis, DarkTrace, Nessus, Sophos and SentinelOne to investigate potential threats and vulnerabilities. Collaborated with global security teams to evaluate and remediate risks.Familiarized with networking appliances, server room organization, data center projects, etc. Also worked with common office equipment such as printers, projectors, cameras and VoIP phones.

The interest of River Grove School in expanding its use of technology has allowed it to create three new Tech Help Desk positions. I, along with two high school colleagues, was invited into the River Grove Technology Committee to help not only troubleshoot, but advise on the implementation and expansion of technology at the district.We have completed the first part of the process of deploying Chromebook carts for Junior High teachers to use in their classes. We are using the Google Admin Console to manage enrolled devices. The teachers will be using Google Classroom to manage their classes.

WYSE terminal and Windows 10 Technical Refresh project for NorthShore University Healthcare System. Unpack, mount, and configure 1000+ nurse stations, Jetson computers-on-wheels, patient rooms, and medical offices across multiple hospital campuses and remote clinics located around northern Chicago suburbs.

The summer of 2015, I worked with a colleague under the direction of Techno Consulting Inc. As a team, we provided maintenance for hundreds of devices for various schools including River Grove Elementary and Lemont High School. Duties involved cleaning, arranging, imaging, patching, and managing desktops, laptops, and Chromebooks. We also configured SMARTBoards, enoBoards, document cameras, and projectors in classrooms and libraries.

Worked a service desk and bench environment with the Chromebook repair and management team to provide continuous support to 500-1000 Samsung Chromebooks for 3 months. Hands-on experience with electronic pieces and soldering. Great foundation of general skills with computer science, engineering, networking, and security.

Main videographer and co-producer for the school’s Video Announcements. Video Announcements took a modern spin on the daily morning announcements by incorporating a visual experience for the audience. I volunteered to be in charge of recording audio/video for interviews, capturing B-roll footage, and collaborating with fellow student journalists to plan and edit our biweekly projects. I shadowed a professional media team that worked on Leyden’s AP Award Video in 2014. Being part of this class brought countless opportunities to engage with the community to showcase the news and culture in an informative, engaging way.Equipment and software I used: video camera (Canon XA60), handheld and lapel microphones, computer for editing (iMac 2013), editing software (iMovie).

Tech Support Internship was created to help students and staff members quickly find a resolution for their tech related problems. Having a qualified student body directly supporting Chromebooks and teacher devices was a vital part of the 1:1 model. It took place of a class, allowing interns like myself to develop valuable technical and communication skills not often addressed in other classes.As a leader in the internship, I joined the Tech Council formed by the Tech Department, Business Education teachers, and local alumni to collaborate with companies/organizations like Microsoft and CDW in order to further improve the program at Leyden.

After an experimental 1:1 Chromebook pilot, I was hired to maintain inventory and refurbish devices. I did networking work such as resolving LAN problems, as well as projector maintenance such as replacing bulbs and adjusting their position. I set up two computer labs for the Art Department. I was also part of the Summer Symposium at Leyden High School that showcased to the country our use of technology, the efforts that made it work as smoothly as possible, and the logistics of the district. I was picked by staff to provide insight into the student / intern experience.
