L2 Partners is a retail commercial real estate investment and property management firm based in Miami, FL. Following my graduation from the University of Miami, I began working at L2 Partners, primarily performing administrative duties focused on data entry and bookkeeping. I quickly became familiar with the company’s databases and operations and was promoted to Financial Analyst. After a year, I was promoted to Financial Manager. As Financial Manager, I managed revenue collections, vendor payments, real estate tax payments, investor distributions, financial reporting, and expense reimbursements for a $1.2 billion portfolio. The processes I implemented at the company significantly increased organization, efficiency, and profitability.

Denson Investments is an investment fund based in Miami, FL. I interned at Denson Investments during the first half of 2022. My primary responsibilities included conducting an initial analysis of prospective investments to seek possible opportunities. This involved evaluating the company’s financial statements, business model, competitors, customers, and risk factors. I created financial models to investigate investment opportunities, including DCF and comparative analysis models. This experience vastly improved my skills in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and financial analysis.

Wilmington Trust is a wealth management division of M&T Bank. I worked at Wilmington Trust as an intern during the summer of 2021, reporting directly to the head of the New England Region. During my internship, I was exposed to what it takes to provide exceptional client service for high-net-worth individuals and families. Most of my work was focused on preparing materials for client presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint. I also got to spend lots of time with the investment advisors to understand how client portfolios are structured and managed.

East Providence Auto Sales is a used car dealership in East Providence, RI. During the summers from 2016 to 2020, I worked at the dealership and learned about every aspect of the business. In my first year, I cleaned cars and organized files. As I learned more about the business, I started helping with accounting tasks, organizing digital data, and analyzing the advertising strategy. I worked my way into the sales role, where I was involved in purchasing and selling the vehicles.
