Backend engineer on the Cart & Checkout team working on a large-scale eCommerce modernization initiative.

• Wrote API endpoints to support new customer order submission flow during e-commerce modernization transitional period• Rolled my Summer intern project out into production, allowing users to attach a personalized gift email message to their order• Fixed bugs on both the backend and frontend (Angular)• Wrote unit tests utilizing JUnit and Mockito• Monitored backend services during holiday support schedule, utilizing Kibana, Grafana, and Instana dashboards• Wrote tickets in Jira and communicated requirements with both engineering and product managers• Wrote API documentation for current team initiatives and processes

• Worked on the API team within a larger team comprised of UX designers and front-end and back-end developers responsible for Cart, Checkout, and MyAccount in an agile environment• Used Java and Spring Boot framework to develop a feature requested by customers and executives, communicating requirements between key stakeholders and my intern counterpart on the UI side• Took ownership and headed the process of wiring in the Azure Cognitive Services (for AI developers) SDK into the checkout application for text moderation used both in my feature directly and for future use in other areas of the organization• Utilized the Akamai Application Load Balancer Cloudlet to add website redirect rules for grand opening user account enrollment of a new property and spoof tested changes in both non-production and production environments• Flew up pipeline changes in Concourse CI/CD to facilitate cleanup for the transition from Google Platform to Microsoft Azure servers• Used the Auth0 dashboard to edit and test both HTML email templates and JavaScript web hooks for related user account confirmations (signup, password reset, etc.)• Used Postman and the Kibana and Azure (Cache for Redis and Cosmos DB) dashboards to test and debug backend issues in production

• Used Java to help develop a trading system that executes orders through a brokerage platform for an algorithmic hedge fund startup• Conducted research on trading and created relevant classes to work in tandem with a pre-existing codebase• Developed a GSON custom serializer and deserializer that sends and parses orders from a black box of investment strategies• Implemented a singleton design pattern while interacting with the brokerage platform API’s multithreaded client-socket functionality• Imported and maintained project dependencies using Maven• Directed, created, and executed test cases in JUnit for unit testing of the system

• Developed Python scripts to extradite the merging and reorganization of data between several disjunct excel files and multiple databases for the Loss Prevention Department using NumPy and pandas• Redesigned existing Microsoft Access databases to support multi-user access by splitting their backend and front-end components• Automated bulk remote data entry and removal using pyodbc• Provided technical support of department network, computers, analog and IP camera systems, as well as all related cabling and conduit
