Geographic Information Specialist in charge of developing a central repository of GIS data for civil aviation purposes for the Central American Flight Information Región comprising the States of Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Also part of the job is creating cartographic charts for inclusion in the Central America Aeronautical Information Publication AIP www.cocesna.org. From the end of December 2016 fully automatized database using AIXM 5.1+Upon request from the States PANS OPS procedures are designed and/or reviewed, also quality control is performed on States publication for ATM purposes on behalf of CENAMER ACC which is in charge of Central America FIRAerodrome Planning and advise is given also, AIM related topics and developments and GIS Training as well as cartography on request from COCESNA Training Center at Ilopango, El Salvador. Ad-hoc design services (freelance/remote work) relating to Instrument Flight Procedure design applying DOC 8168 and UK specific criteria for IFP related to CAT A & B PBN procedure design and PinS at several locations as requested by gCAP Managing Director.Thinking laterally to be able to accommodate design within constrains and limitations due to surrounding airspace and other trajectories.Provided feedback relating to in house design software to improve the systems and willingness to put in extra hours at short notice which helped the company complete requests on several occasions.
