It was also my first experience seeing how money works - all cash, not much plastic back then. I also saw how my father’s influence changed people lives by offering jobs, generously giving during holidays, and his leadership inside and outside our store. I also learned that my father was financially illiterate. He did not have a college degree, no financial nor accounting knowledge nor did he feel it was important to know. But he deeply cared and supported his community. After 8 years, our business subsequently failed and our lives changed forever. Since that experience, I have been serving entrepreneurs and families in the financial services industry for over 25 years. I am on a mission to bring trust, transparency, and education to more individuals and families that care about building a level of financial independence while leaving a legacy they can be proud of.
