I am the Corrosion Protection Pursuits Leader for Greenman Pedersen, Inc. (GPI). My certifications include AMPP Protective Coatings Specialist, Senior Certified Coatings Inspector, Bridge Coatings Inspector Level I, and C-3 Lead Paint Removal certificated. I have over 38 years of experience in the bridge coatings industry. I currently serve as the Chair of AMPP’s Technical Committee 04 Transportation. I also serve on two standard committees (Accreditation and Coatings System Application, Maintenance, and Inspection) and I am the Vice Chair for the Certification Program Committee. I am also the Vice Chair of AASHTO's Bridge Preservation Partnership National Bridge Preservation Coatings Working Group. I have worked with the Federal Highway Administration in the development of a training course for bridge preservation for field personnel titled “Coating and Painting Bridge Superstructures.”​I have managed coatings inspection contracts and providing technical support and design services. My expertise also includes environmental needs during the removal of hazardous materials on protective coatings projects for bridges, tanks, and structural steel. I have managed Department of Transportation (DOT) contracts for coatings inspections and design services for bridge painting projects in multiple states. I have also provided technical support on coatings-related issues for surface preparation and coating application. I have given presentations to DOT’s and at National conferences throughout the country on what to consider when developing a bridge painting program.
