XCOM Labs is developing advanced 5G wireless solutions for new verticals such as Industrial automation/robotics and multiuser AR/VR. My responsibilities included technology strategy and developing new business partnership opportunities with network operators and other strategic partners. Other activities included responsibility for technical ecosystem partnerships - analyzing the landscape of 5G infrastructure and device vendors to determine appropriate partnerships for sub-6 GHz and mm-Wave applications as well as AR/VR codec and HMD vendors, LBE and content providers, and industrial IoT partners. I also had responsibility for university outreach and was an invited speaker at various events on 5G.
