I am naturally curious and have a deep interest in people and an empathy-first leadership and collaboration style. I enjoy making meaning from data, and I love learning from and working with others to solve problems and better meet the needs of people. I have a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition, which is academic lingo for the study and analysis of persuasive communication. I use this expertise to advocate for the value of research and the importance of data-driven solutions and to think critically about how I communicate with users, colleagues, and stakeholders.I have 10+ years of experience doing research to understand and improve a variety of human experiences. This work has included research to support an open-source platform pilot, to develop a Voting Rights Restoration poster, to improve learning experiences, and to improve service delivery. I'm a strong project manager who has worked in a variety of contexts, collaborated cross-functionally, and engaged diverse stakeholders.
