Part-time advisory role steering SuperPayroll's technical direction and overseeing transition to AWS cloud-native technology.

SuperPayroll is a leading payroll software and outsource service provider with a strong pan-African footprint and a long history dating back to the founding of NuQ in 2000, rebranded to SuperPayroll in 2022.My role as CEO was primarily to lead a small but focused team in keeping SuperPayroll at the forefront of the payroll industry. Under my leadership, we made massive strides in building better automation features into the software that radically improve efficiency and reduce risks, especially in multi-country, multi-company, shared service, and outsource environments.

Technical product management role (formerly titled VP of TPM) in Trilogy group's central TPM team. Main focus areas: Making important technical decisions driving development of the group's 100+ products (mostly AWS cloud-native), technical teardowns of target acquisition products, development of cost optimization algorithms and runbooks for AWS, development of internal tooling automations including automations incorporating LLM-based AI (GPT).

I held a general management role across all functions of the business. Key achievements and contributions included:- 80% growth in revenue over 5 years.- Implementation of multiple backoffice processes and systems to ensure continued smooth operations to support growing business without increasing overhead costs.- Recruitment improvements to support growth while improving hiring quality and diversity.- Completed successful integration of NuQ payroll with SAP Successfactors.- Implemented multiple people management initiatives towards better employee engagement and motivation.- Contributed individually to various projects, especially within NuQ HR/Payroll division, as technical lead and project manager / product owner / scrum master.

Divisional management role for Xpedia IT's applications business unit with division P+L responsibility. Key achievement and contributions:- Built software dev team from scratch to ±20 people- Led team through development of 6 group-owned software products.- Led team through successful implementation of Scrum.- Gained experience as both Scrum master and Product owner.Tenure ended with management buyout of applications division to Xpedia Applications (Xpedia IT sold all divisions in 2014 and Xpedia Applications was the only entity retaining the Xpedia branding after this unwinding).
