Security Manager Uk Emdcs
CurrentI currently manage both BP UK EMDC’s (European Mega Data Centre) Security and reception teams.I started out on site as team leader and then eventually to managing both sites as Security manager UK EMDCs. During this time, I have had to ensure the front of house teams, control the access and egress of people and goods to and from both sites in line with the clients’ requirements and agreed KPI’s and SLA’s. I remotely trained 4 security teams in Chicago and Houston AMDCs and the UK EMDCs, so they ran the same in all aspects of security documentation, induction delivery and toolbox delivery. I completed this using conference calls, and PowerPoint presentations, I also filmed and produced a couple of training videos which were used in Chicago and Houston. I also trained the 4 teams on the new WVCS system. I reworked the visitor system at both UK EMDCs leading to a real world saving of £24000 annually for the client.I complete both sites documentation in relation to Security procedures, Health and Safety and staff welfare and development, which are reviewed and updated on a regular basis. I’ve completed my IOSH training and check RAM’s and TRAs for the security and Reception teams and visiting engineers. This practical site experience makes me ideally placed to understand client requirements and ensure processes and best practice are in place to deliver on these.Training is important for the smooth running of the front of house teams so they can deliver a consistent service and strive to exceed the expectations required,it’s important that the training covers any gaps in knowledge and I’m happy to deliver training as required.I also collate sites information for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.I have been working on account documentation, update, and standardisation across all sites, to deliver a better service to the client.I have consulted in the private sector, writing, and providing advice on SOP’s, security and Health and safety, for a London based charity.
