Headquartered in San Diego, California, Western Recruiting Region is divided into three districts, each comprising several states. These are subdivided into Recruiting Stations (RS) located in large metropolitan areas, with smaller Recruiting Sub-Stations (RSS) covering smaller cities and rural areas. Western Recruiting Region processes over 16,000 new recruits annually.My Role:• Supervised the five personnel and functions in the recruiting operations division, supporting three district headquarters, two regional staffs, and one national headquarters.• Developed, published and maintained regional plans for recruit contracting and training, involving over 16,000 new employees annually.• Maintained positive liaison with national headquarters, three district headquarters, and two regional training centers to ensure compliance with policy and standards.• Conducted personnel record reviews to ensure applicants were mentally, physically and morally qualified for employment.• Conducted over 20 week-long informational workshops for educators, administrators, localofficials and media.

It is headquartered in Uruma City, Okinawa, Japan.My Role:• Served as the Deputy, Assistant Chief of Staff for Command, Control, Communications, Computers,and Intelligence (C4I), N-6, and Amphibious Communications Planner for Expeditionary Strike Group Seven / Commander Task Force - 76 (CTF-76) • Led, mentored, coached and evaluated a staff of 20 information technology professionals operating from two fixed headquarters in Japan, and several naval vessels.• Led and assembled task-organized teams of information technology professionals on three multi-national exercises resulting in the effective operation, maintenance, security and accountability of equipment and networks.• Served as the Navy-Marine Corps Integration Officer for communications, and a certified Task Force Battle Watch Captain.

They fall under the command of the 1st Marine Division and the I Marine Expeditionary Force. The unit is based out of the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.My Role:• Served as the Senior Manager, and senior technical adviser for a communications organization of over 60 employees. • Planned, supervised, and coordinated the installation, operation, displacement and maintenance of communication equipment and personnel with in the organization.• Served as the organization’s Information Assurance Officer.

The Communications Platoon, Headquarters Company, 1st Marine Regiment is responsible for providing command, control, communications, and computer assets in support of the regimental commander and subordinate battalions. My Role:• Supervised the operation and maintenance of the organization’s Network Operations Center, sustaining 24x7x365 operations, supporting three to five area commands, and sector headquarters in Al-Anbar Province, Iraq. • Reviewed, revised, and developed Standard Operating Procedures to ensure Authorized Service Interruptions, and Communication Security requirements were executed in a timely and accurate manner.• Served as senior staff advisor on antiterrorism training, techniques, and physical security measures.• Reviewed, revised, and developed plans to deter, detect, and mitigate injury or damage to personnel and equipment.• Served as the organization’s liaison officer for communications to Iraqi Security Forces.• Conducted four remote site-surveys in Al-Anbar Province, Iraq in support of multi-national forces conducting security and assistance operations.

My Role:• Developed plans, monitored programs, and provided direction to over 60 recruiters in accomplishing 100% of assigned recruiting mission for two consecutive years, and earning 4th Marine Corps District's Station of the Year in 2005.• Supervised and managed a headquarters staff of 14 employees in providing critical administrative, logistical, marketing and public affairs, and information technology support to all offices and facilities within the area of responsibility.• Conducted daily screening of potential applicants to include extensive background reviews, personal interviews, and communication with local law enforcement agencies. • Initiated and conducted internal investigations in cases of suspected employee fraud or misconduct.
