Project Participated In.o Core Banking System Implementation from Equinox to BANKKS Core Banking System.o Data Center Network design , configuration and Implementation.o ATM network Migration o Mapped and Integrated Liquid Telekom, Safaricom, JTL, Access Kenya WAN links and implemented MPLS and BGP on the new Infrastructure at SKY PARK PLAZA, connecting to all other branches.o Designed the bank's LAN network, which included structured cabling IP management switching and routing on five floors including the new branch.o Mapped and configured layer two Cisco 2690s switches on all five floors, this Involved installation and configuration of the Access and Aggregation switches, VLAN forwarding, tagging, and interconnecting them with fiber, spanning across different floors and then to the core Cisco 2911 router.o Mapped and Integrated Kennex-Swift, Reuters, Cybrine-KBA-CBK, KEPPS services into the new building, configuration of access switches, VLAN tagging, and forwarding to each floor.o Integration and implementation of AVAYA VoIP PABX System and roll out of VOIP to all branches.o Implementation of Process Maker Business Work Flow System.

Projects Participated In: o Took part in merging ISP Kenya’s Network together with Wananchi’s Network implementing OSPF and BGP on both networks which included structured, cabling IP management and routingo Configured some of the Wimax/Telsima Base stations Switches being rolled out in Nairobio Liaised with Specialized staff in designing and implementing BGP through satellite providers Emerging Communication Markets and Raistings in Germany, Seacom and Bharti Airtel IP transit providers.o Mapped and Integrated Kenya commercial Bank (KCB) Branches links to our current new Metro Ethernet fiber network and to their Head Quarters.o Mapped and Integrated Charterhouse Bank head quarters link into our new metro Ethernet fiber to connect with other branches via the Simbanet Net wireless Cambridge base station on layer 3o Mapped and added fiber cascading switches (Pop's),Juniper,Cisco,Extreme,Dlink into our new metro Ethernet fiber link network.o Mapped and integrated Express Travel Group link on fiber our metro Ethernet fiber network at Middle East bank to interconnect with Galileo at Barclay's plazao Mapped Essar YU Corporate link and GPRS link through KDN'S metro Ethernet fiber networko Mapped Nairobi Net link on our metro Ethernet fiber network which also involved mapping the link as a transit link through our primary (Sea com, TATA) and secondary (Telkom, Air tel) link providers.o Mapped Africa Online link on our metro Ethernet fiber network which also involved mapping the link as a transit link through our primary (Sea com, TATA) and secondary (Telkom, Air tel) link providers.

Duties and Responsibilities:o Setting up, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving connectivity problem WAN and LAN Network of different customer back hauls which included Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Nyeri,Nanyuki and Eldoret.o Mapping links; Frame-relay, Vlan / Ethernet by liaising with third party providers.o Monitoring overall systems performance and security event monitoring including history logs and audit journals.o Maintenance of Server room and all its equipmento Fiber Network setup, monitoring, Fiber links integration; these include data and Internet traffic mapping.o Frequently supporting, training and assisting internal and external customers on service technical issues.o Supporting and assisting field Engineers, Wimax, Fiber, WAN, LAN on IP and Systems based Network issues.o Generating network reports using solar winds, Nagios and customized daily manual reportso Documenting of the network, planning and organizing maintenance exercises.o Documenting software and Hardware changes on the network.o Ensuring that all operational systems are functional through monitoring and alerting other engineers in case of failures and liaising with the respective departments on faster resolution of down times.o Assisted corporate clients with internal network problems i.e wireless, Fiber, leased line connections.o Visited sites to home and corporate users to setup new dial up connections, troubleshoot and resolve connectivity problemso Troubleshoot and resolved link connectivity problems for corporate clients remotely and on-siteo Configured Mailer Daemon ,setup and troubleshoot for corporate and home user clientso Windows server exchange configuration support and troubleshootingo Ensured the website is up to date by updating and communicating any new changes on the organization via the portal
