An entrepreneur, business leader and IT specialist, I have extensive experience in the technology industry, including in hardware and software sales and distribution, security, PBX systems, IT and business consultancy, managed services, and the design, development and deployment of contact centre solutions to the local market. I am one of the few Digium Certified Asterisk Professionals (dCAP) in South Africa.In 1989, I co-founded a company called Open Computer Technology, an integrator that provided businesses with IT hardware, building networks and providing security. The company was sold to the Connection Group in 1999.In 2001, I co-founded Clarotech Consulting, an IT infrastructure company that specialised in providing consulting, support and procurement services to small and large companies in South Africa. As Technical Director, I helped influence the expansion beyond its traditional offering and into the provision of ISP services, private cloud services, telephony and contact centre solutions to local customers.Clarotech was acquired by Logicalis in 2019, and I continued to be involved in multiple roles, including providing high level technical guidance for international teams, and heading different areas within the company until May 2021. I joined Telviva in June 2021, and am looking to help the company build on its position as the market leading cloud-based business communications provider by bringing synchronicity to video, voice, chat and data.
