Delivered 6+ working smartphones to mainstream reporters (BBC, New York times) to capture authentic news photos, all impossible to be modified without breaking the digital signature.Conducted the security auditing with my manager, interfacing the Qualcomm secure camera taskforce. To ensure pixels are transmitted from image sensor to ARM Trustzone through the secure IMMU bus. To ensure that the pixels are impossible to be altered in the phone circuit level with external RF jamming signals. Utilize my PhD level training in scientific imaging for oncology and drug discovery, to create a camera "Pro mode" whitelist and blacklist. To disable all pixel tampering algorithms in the GPU/DSP; effectively rendering skin-beautifying filters and synthetic lens blur (bokeh) filter illegal on the phone. Marked the depth map from the SparsePD AF sensor as authentic. Added AAA pipeline to the whitelist.Former technical writer of Adobe-led content authenticity initiative (CAI). Contributed to the JPEG open specification, dictating how Adobe's photo editing software should recognize Truepic's hardware cryptographic signature in the photos; how the News media can preserve, publish, and prove the photo editing paper trail from Truepic's raw pixels on their news website.

(> 10 plates per day, 96 conditions per plates, > 8, 000 cellsper condition).Made project-critical decisions with two remote design services (> 15 engineers) every week to streamline the production of 96-in-1 camera system-on-board solution.Reported monthly to multiple stakeholders of the project: Caltech for research outputs, scholarship foundations for the financial burn-through rate, and Amgen for requirement tracking purposes.Filed a patent on the invention of the GPU-optimized chunked memory structure and image processing pipeline for integrated image acquisition and reconstruction with 96 cameras.Hired part-time programmers to implement the graphical software interfaces (HTML5, REST server), and to integrate the Amgen’s on-site image storage system (PerkinElmer Columbus XML, OME-TIFF) to meetAmgen’s HCS standards.Optimized the super-resolution imaging algorithm from MATLAB to C++/CUDA language to speed up reconstruction by > 50×. Invented the FPGA-optimized pixel super-resolution (Pixel-SR) technique for ultra-fast imaging flow cytometry (>10,000 frames per second) for screening rare circulating tumor cells from human blood samples. Filed a patent on the invention of instrument-specific pixel registration technique and image recov-ery algorithm to reduce ADC bandwidth requirement by 25%.Conceptualized, characterized, and validated the all-optical spatial light modulator (SLM) (costs $20k, weigh 20kg, > 1 GHz pattern response rate) capable of ultra-high frame rate rendering (> 10 6 FPS) for multi-foci excitation. Sole project owner to mothball the project till the downstream technology can catch up.Conducted the cost-benefit analysis of its application on structured illuminationmicroscopy on a flow cell. Killed the project myself to direct research funding for other more promising ideas.Worked with the FPGA research group to interface the FPGA-based digitizer (5 GSa/s) with the high-speed solid-state photomultiplier tube (sPMT). Captured >5,000 patient blood cells (40 µm diameter) in a high-speed flow (2 m s −1 ). Achieved 4x pixel readout rate (20 GSa/s) and 50% cost reduction of ADC with the technique.Worked with the microfluidic research group to integrate a PDMS-on-glass flow cell (100 µm×40 µm cross section) in the custom-designed imaging flow cytometer.
