I am an educator with a broad range of high level skill and experience leading, administrating and teaching in the NSW, (NESA) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and Middle Years Programmes (MYP) at St Paul’s Grammar school, Australia. I have a special interest in ensuring that educators understand the influence of their worldview on practice.I have high-level local and international leadership experience with NESA and the IB Diploma programme in curriculum design and assessment, having led more than fifty teacher training workshops in both curricula over twenty years. These workshops provided focussed professional development for teachers and Principals throughout the Asia-Pacific Region. My specialties are programme specific pedagogical leadership, pedagogical practice, Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Extended Essay and the Sciences, specifically Biology and Chemistry.I am an IB Diploma Programme Visiting Team leader for verification and evaluation of schools, having led or participated in more than forty visits to schools in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, the Phillipines, China and Japan since 2002. In 2020 these visits have operated in a virtual capacity in many cases.I have been a senior examiner in the HSC and a Deputy Chief and Principal Examiner in the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Biology. I have represented the International Baccalaureate Asia Pacific Region on IB curriculum and assessment committees and continue to be actively involved in its curriculum development.As Secretary and former chair of the Standing Committee of IB School's Australasia, I am deeply involved in the growth and support of IB curricula in Australasian schools.I have a strong pastoral connections with students, families and the staff I work with.
