Rock Networks are a communications specialist based in the North West. I was brought on board with a mostly clean slate in terms of systems. I worked in a team developing software for internal clients. Much of the development focused on various production critical applications that managed the manufacture process of electrical components.Major milestones include:- Unified SAP communication under a single WCF service. This replaced numerous occurrences of SAP Scripting which was prone to failure.- Maintained a suite of Window Mobile clients for various stock control activities.- Built an application to monitor test results and alert users to a potential problems.- Interfaced with various pieces of hardware such as a laser etcher, solder paste height inspector and RFID readers and writers.- Lead the migration of source control from Visual Source Safe to Team Foundation Server.
