My key responsibilities at FMI have been data analysis, data management, and being partly in charge of atmospheric aerosol measurements in two of the FMI measurement sites in Kuopio. As one of the key persons in charge of the measurements, my duties have included taking care of calibrations, maintenance, and operation of the devices. In addition, I have done data quality assurance and data management. This data has been used by me and my colleagues in data analyses which have resulted in conference presentations and scientific articles. I have used mainly Python and Matlab in data and statistical analyses. In addition to these, I have planned and designed measurement setups for campaigns which have been conducted e.g. in China.

I worked as a research assistant in the New Energy Technologies group led by Prof. Peter Lund. The position was part-time which I was able to do during my studies but included three summers as a full-time summer worker and a 6-month-period for thesis work. My main responsibilities were: producing test samples of dye solar cells, testing the samples, and performing experiments. In addition, I analysed the data and did optical modelling using Matlab. During the employment I finished my Bachelor's thesis, two special assignments, and my Master’s thesis.
