During my time at ASE, I was deeply involved in various facets of software development focused on product validation and traceability. This work encompassed developing a range of factory support software for multiple production floors and creating setups for hardware functional testing, all aimed at ensuring equipment reliability. I also played a role in providing production support and identifying opportunities for process improvements.My technical work included programming in languages such as Visual Basic, Python, SQL, and XML, while utilizing the .NET Framework (version 4 and above) and .NET Core to create efficient solutions across Windows and Linux platforms. I managed data with Access and used development tools such as Visual Studio, SVN, and Redmine, among others. Additionally, I was involved with cloud and virtualization tools, including Oracle VirtualBox and Azure DevOps Services.I worked within Agile and Scrum methodologies, implementing Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to maintain quality and flexibility in the codebase. The communication protocols and systems I handled included SSH, SCP, Telnet, FTP, SFTP, Serial, and DHCP, alongside Ethernet and RS-232 hardware and Digital/Analog I/O for device interfacing.Beyond development, my responsibilities extended to code review for languages like VB, C#, Python, and Bash, as well as producing technical documentation. I contributed to continuous improvement efforts and even developed custom adapters for specialized tasks, ensuring a seamless and robust workflow across ASE’s production environment.

During my internship, I jumped into the heart of the Electronic Production Team at Efacec—a group dedicated to testing the company’s equipment in every situation imaginable. Basically, if you could dream up a way for a machine to fail, we were there to make sure it didn’t!My job was to help develop software that could poke, prod, and push these products to their limits. Think of it as “extreme sports” for equipment—minus the spandex and cheering crowds. We ran them through all kinds of tests, making sure they wouldn’t just wave a white flag at the first sign of trouble.With every test, we were like detectives on a mission, hunting down glitches before they had a chance to cause any chaos. It was all about creating products that would stand strong in the real world. By the end of my time there, I’d not only built testing software, but also had a few good laughs with the team while watching equipment go through their “workouts”—because, hey, machines need endurance too!
