During my eight years long tenure at the Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, I have learnt a lot not only about core IPR & Technology transfer, but other related activities as well. These include organising workshops, exhibitions to showcase technologies of Council, arrangement of meetings, preparing resource study material, Preparing noting, minute, agenda and maintaining offline/online files, policy formulation/revision, SOP for introduction of bio-larvicides/pesticides in NVBDCP program, data analysis, providing inputs on IPR issues in MoUs of Council and overall project management. Prior to join ICMR, in 2010 I got one year on-the-job training in the area of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) under Women Scientists Scheme-C (WOS-C)’ of DST-6th Batch. I also qualified patent agent examination and my registration no. is IN/PA -2231. Till date, my significant contributions to Council are bringing out a Handbook on Intellectual Property Rights & Technology Transfer; formulation of Policy guidelines for introduction of public health pesticides including bio-larvicides in NVBDCP; Company selection criteria, Guidelines for filing PCT applications etc.
