Lead on financial strategy and operational delivery of BFI venues (Southbank and IMAX) and Festivals. Grow commercial opportunities, partnerships and establish centres of excellence around events and festival delivery.

Lead on finance, partnerships and overall operations of BFI London Film Festival – a 12 day annual international festival that comprising 600 live screenings talks and events across 12 cinemas in London and up to 100 cinemas UK wide, reaching an audience of 300,00 in person and online.

Executive Director for this pan-London Dance Festival which takes place annually in October and features a range of international and UK choreographers and companies. I led on business and financial strategy and managed development, marketing and administration functions.

Joint Director of this leading vocational ballet school with lead responsibility for finance (annual turnover £1.8 million), fund-raising and marketing. Joint responsibility for managing the schoo’sl permanent staff team of 21 and contract staff of 11. Co-created and developed 'My First Ballet' series with English National Ballet and successfully launched ENBS Juniors - children's ballet classes open to all.

Worked in a freelance capacity supporting dance artists and organisations with business development and fund-raising. Clients included: New Movement Collective, Wayne McGregor|Random Dance, Dance UK, Independent Dance, ATMA Dance, Sampad, ZooNation Dance Company, Dance East, British Council Accelerate Programme, Shane Shambhu.

As part of the Senior Management Team provided leadership for the London Region in general and the Dance sector. Key responsibilities included overseeing a portfolio of 28 regularly funded dance organisations with budget responsibility of £16 million and managing a team of 6.

As Senior Dance Officer, Arts Council of England I undertook several different roles. I assisted the Director of Dance in policy development and the implementation of key national strategies, undertook an 8-month contract as Director of Dance and was a Project Leader for the Change programme.

Led on business development role included developing business systems, producing and implementing 3 year business plan, working with a Board of directors, fund-raising, managing staff, recruitment, sales/tour booking, extending key networks and liaising with key regional and national development and statutory agencies.

Supported the Head of Education and the two permanent teaching staff to set up education projects, workshops and residencies. I was responsible for the smooth running of the office, diary management, contracts and payments.

Supported two Birmingham based small scale touring companies. Was responsible for tour booking, marketing, PR, financial management, recruitment.

Supported a team of 4 to set up a new organisation in Leicester, run a year long festival celebrating dance in 2003 and the Leicester International Festival.
