I hold a Master's degree in Social Work, specializing in the field of Medical & Psychiatry from Stella Maris College, Chennai. As social work has a wide spectrum in dealing with an individual's phases of life, be it their social, emotional & psychological well-being, i chose a career path exploring all these areas. I had interned at MS Chellamuthu Trust, Centre for Rehabilitation (Madurai) as a part of my PG curriculum. I was placed as a 'Medical Social Worker' at an NGO named 'CANSTOP', an outreach programme of Sundaram Medical Foundation, Chennai. 'CANSTOP' works for people living with cancer. Weekly counselling sessions at govt hospitals, aiding nutrition programmes, conducting awareness programmes/rallies to raise awarness on cancer & its prevention were the core activities. Secondly, I had worked at a school named Carmel CMI school, Palakkad, Kerala as a School Counsellor. Individual counselling sessions, conducting value education classes etc. were my key responsibilities. Due to my father's work-related transfers, I had settled at my hometown & pursued a career in Public Relations at Sreedhareeyam Ayurvedic Eye hospital and continued to work for 4 years. My key role was to communicate with the clients/patients & to assist them for any non-medical queries, especially aiding them for any documentation & Medical reimbursement works. Currently I am working as a HR Executive in Netlink ICT Pvt. Ltd, Koothattukulam exploring the professional front of individuals. I hold an additional certificate in 'Medical Coding' and currently pursuing a course in "Applied HR Administration'.
