I fancy myself a go getter, someone who loves challenges and new things.In school I’d participate in all the competitions ranging from rangoli designing to athletics. I just had to be there. Add to the mix supportive and enthusiastic parents and you get my education!I am a big proponent of following the heart, only this once I didn’t: I had to choose between Mechanical Engineering & Biotech Engineering. My heart said Mechanical, but I would be the only girl. I buckled to the sterotypes and went for Biotech. It was never my cup of tea. One fine day, I started reading about industrial automation and how cool PLCs are and I could not stop. Rest is historyFast forward 6 years: A career change fueled by a lot of projects, youtubing and self-learning. This time I followed my heart, I gave up my seat at a couple of IIMs ( which is kind of a big deal in India) and instead opted for a Masters in Automation in the UK. I had planned to come back to India after my Masters but destiny had other plans. I found myself working as the Automation Specialist for Siemens UK. After 5 years of incredible experience with Siemens and international exposure, I was ready to level up my game.I’ve a strong conviction that manufacturing, both in India and globally, will undergo a complete transformation in next 7-10 years, thanks to unprecedented technological advancement. Indian manufacturing will jump from Industry 2.0 to 5.0, driven by socio-economic changes, government policies, and technology. Similar to how the last 20 years were dominated by pure software, we are now entering an era of hardware-software integration. This shift will impact how people work (through upskilling) and how manufacturing processes operate (through automation at all levels). And with this vision, I founded Terafac to power Smart Manufacturing and Smart Learning.Outside of work, I love to dance, travel and interact with new people. My forever love is badminton, which I can’t play right now because of a serious knee injury but hopefully I’ll start again. I played professionally and represented my state at various national level tournaments within India, and also my university at BUCS in the UK. Those were the good times 😊
