About Dr. Anudeep Sure

I am a remote sensing specialist with expertise in passive microwave, optical and hyperspectral remote sensing. I have been working with various satellite, modelled, ground based datasets (raster and vector). My research work is oriented towards agricultural applications using empirical, biophysical models and machine learning algorithms with a focus on various hydro-meteorological variables. An interrelationship between crop water requirement, soil moisture profile and texture, meteorological seasons and crop yield for various crops is studied in depth at different spatial scales. I am an expert in working with soil moisture variables specifically. Flood modelling, spatial downscaling, crop classification from optical and microwave imagery are some of the prominent works. I have abundant field experience with expertise in handling meteorological, hydrological, agricultural and survey based instruments at different land use and land covers. Machine learning, statistical analysis and modelling, time series analysis has been a part of my research and work. Various applications of remote sensing in different domains is the need of the hour especially in Nat-Cat, climate change, agriculture, supply chain, etc.
