Also setup productivity tools for Sales and Content teams to bring efficiency in their operations.Moved in-house technology team from Argentina to Australia to setup eyelet for the growth phase ahead. This was an interesting challenge as it involved putting in place a hiring pipeline and building a high performing team from scratch. Established quality standards and processes as guardrails so team can run fast confidently.Evolved the core product from a MVP to a scalable, performant platform with a high quality end user experience. Along the way helping business to strike the magical balance of adding new product features as we scale the technology stack. Some key end user impacts delivered were: * Guided the team to make the movie streaming pipeline highly efficient and scalable, including extra layers of caching, to enable glitch free high quality streaming for end user. * Guided the team to migrate end-user applications from client side rendered Vue.js to server-side rendered Vue.js applications, delivering a fast and responsive end user experience

Being an early stage startup, there is no shortage of interesting challenges like product development, infrastructure, reliability, security, technical debt and hiring etc.I have helped setup and streamline agile development processes so the skilled engineering team is able to deliver reliably and consistently. Another major improvement has been to instil a design and Ux led product development cycle where user experience is at centre of any work and user impact is the most important outcome.Hiring talent across multiple geographies in a remote setup has been an interesting challenge which I have thoroughly enjoyed solving and successfully bringing on high calibre team members onboard.

Led and grew multiple product engineering teams including the search & discovery, member growth and iOS app team. Under my hands-on technical and product-thinking leadership the search team evolved the platform into a world class stack serving web scale requests using sophisticated relevance algorithms and learn to rank machine learning capabilities.Built from grounds-up the Redbubble paid marketing platform (google shopping) to be able to scale for the massive marketplace content catalogue. This meant team had to devise a hybrid cloud strategy and an event driven architecture. The platform has scaled to allow >100 million product skus to be synchronised with external systems and provided a good segmentation to enable performance marketing team to bid effectively and efficiently in google shopping and facebook paid social ads.Working closely with product leaders, the member growth team built the foundations for an engaging and fulfilling member experience on Redbubble on web and the iOS app, which was in large parts optimising the user experience and scaling the technology platforms.

Our flagship software ResTracker, a cutting edge SaaS Travel Reservation System designed for small to medium enterprises. It targeted the niche market of ferry reservations and packaged holidays.We also consulted to various travel companies to streamline their operations and integrate off-shelf software into their existing backend systems.

Joined the software engineering team tasked with building the next generation enterprise grade reservation management application for Sealink Travel Group. At time, business was using a legacy and hard to maintain desktop based 4gl software. As member of core team, we took an iterative approach to slowly migrate business operations to modern web application, providing a better user experience and business efficiency at an early stage. It meant building complex xml-rpc API into the legacy system and at same time cutting code with latest web frameworks (Ruby on Rails). This migration took 2+ years and once complete we moved into product development on new application delivering value for business at an accelerated rate. This meant balancing the feature development for internal teams for functional efficiency and better customer experience for online customers for additional revenue streams. During this time, we adopted agile methodologies to support a relatively less experienced team, implemented continuous build and deploy tools, managed our web servers and a large scale mysql deployment.
