My name is Anuj Mangal and I am working in Java / J2EE Technologies for over 9 years.I am living in Sydney, Australia. I am an Australian citizen now and hence entitled to work at any part in Australia.My mission is to provide simple, cost-effective, high-quality solutions to complex problems. According to Facts and Fallacies of Software Engineering by Robert L. Glass, maintenance typically consumes 40 to 80 percent (average, 60 percent) of software costs. Therefore, it is probably the most important life cycle phase of software. So, my goal is to increase the rentability(factor that determines if the amount of time and resources spent in maintaining the application are worth) through the quality and maintainability.I like to read about uncommon and weird facts that are usually overlooked. For example: if you assign the same 500-byte value to a PL/SQL VARCHAR2(2000 BYTE) variable and to a VARCHAR2(1999 BYTE) variable, the former takes up 500 bytes and the latter takes up 1999 bytes. I am a strong believer of the fact that "basics are very important" and anyone who has a strong basic knowledge, enjoys coding more than others. I strive for continued excellence so that I can produce high quality solutions. Last but not the least, I would like to sign off by saying that "Goal is not a destination, it's a continuous journey."
