Anu and I were colleagues at OMA / Office for Metropolitan Architects in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and Beijing, China. I have known Anu since I joined OMA in 2001and were were Senior Architects for OMA on the CCTV New Headquarters project in Beijing, China. The CCTV project is a 550,000 square meter complex consisting of three buildings; the CCTV tower is a 51 story headquarters for China Central Television, the TVCC tower is a 31 story multi-function building which includes a five-star hotel and a multi-form theater, and the Service Building is a three story service function building. Anu is an extremely talented and skilled architect who was asked to take responsibility for many diverse aspects of this large and complex project under the most difficult of circumstances. Tasked with a myriad of different and complex responsibilities across a very large project she managed to perform all these tasks successfully and all with great care, skill and attention.
