• Architect and develop scripts in Python/Bash to automate and centralize Software-Defined Networks (SD-WAN).• Write technical documentation and execute maintenance windows to migrate or expand the FIU AMPATH network under the Southbound Interfaces (SBI) such as: OpenFlow VLANs, routers, switches, and servers.• Utilize Software-Defined Network controllers and work on the OpenFlow devices in the data plane.• Responsible for visiting data centers where FIU networking enterprise infrastructure is held to configure, maintain, manage, map, decommission, and install routers/switches firewalls, and servers.• Utilize NetFlow and sFlow to integrate traffic monitoring to identify abnormal traffic spikes, DDoS attacks, and flows of traffic.• Utilize traffic monitoring and security tools to manage and monitor the proper flow of traffic depending on the VRF/routing instance. • Coordinate with a team of Network Engineers to constantly monitor the FIU AMPATH network for signs of outages, link flaps, delays, down sessions, and other anomalies using Network Management Systems (NMS).• Develop proprietary code and Ansible modules to assist automation in the FIU AMPATH network.
