Oversaw digital strategy for Washington Post’s foreign news coverage; conceptualized and produced multimedia elements for stories coming from 15 bureaus; worked with correspondents, assignment editors and newsroom leaders to help bridge the newspaper’s print-digital divide; ran live blogs and continuous online coverage during major breaking news events; helped correspondents enhance their social media presence and worked with the visual team to train them on basic photography and video skills; experimented with storytelling and audience engagement on emerging digital platforms, including presentation of articles and posts on mobile; worked closely with graphics team to produce longstanding interactive features and standalone infographics; reported from Afghanistan and Nepal and produced articles, videos and photos; helped launch WorldViews blog, which became one of the leading digital platforms on the site; wrote a feature story for the food section, which was featured as the lede story with a full-page treatment.

Edited and produced multimedia stories for the paper's Opinions & Outlook section; shot/edited in-studio video interviews; helped implement social strategy for the section, including training several op-ed writers on social media best practices; enhanced analyses and features by incorporating interactive graphics, photography and videos.

Reported and produced a multimedia package (with videos, text and interactive) on how a small immigrant community was becoming politically active in the heart of Texas. Worked on the Carnegie-Knight national reporting initiative with 43 other fellows from Columbia University, Harvard University, University of California—Berkeley, University of Southern California and Northwestern University.

Researched and reported on monthly web packages such as Best Cities for Singles, the American Dream, the Future; and interviewed executives across the country to write feature pieces
