As a Design Thinking Intern at AuralApp, I played a vital role in driving user-centered innovation and problem-solving within the organization. My experience can be summarized as follows:Empathize Phase:Identified User Needs: I was responsible for identifying the needs, preferences, and pain points of our target user base, specifically within the deaf community. This involved conducting in-depth field observations, surveys, and interviews to gain insights into how students learn and manage their daily lives.Customer Journey Mapping: To better understand our user base, I created customer journey maps and personas. These tools helped us visualize the user's experience and develop a deeper sense of empathy, enabling us to design solutions that truly resonated with their needs.Analyze Phase:Brainstorming Sessions: I conducted brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and solutions. These collaborative sessions fostered innovation and provided a platform for diverse perspectives to contribute to our design process.Multi-Why Analysis and Root Cause Analysis: To get to the heart of the issues, I performed multi-why analysis and root cause analysis. This helped us uncover the underlying factors behind user challenges, allowing us to address problems at their core.Solve Phase:How Might We Questions: During the solution phase, I formulated "How Might We" questions, which served as a framework for generating innovative solutions. These questions guided our ideation process and ensured that we explored a broad spectrum of possibilities.Prototyping: Developed a functioning prototype that aligned with the insights we gathered during the empathize and analyze phases. This prototype will be instrumental in user testing, and validation and will be the basis for further development.
