I am currently working as an analyst in the Climate Policy Initiative (CPI-India). My areas of work encompass Climate Policy, Carbon Markets, Climate Finance, and Energy Access. I am also highly interested in International Climate Negotiations, Multilateralism, Climate Justice, and Global Climate Action. I am a postgraduate in Climate Change and Sustainability Studies from TISS, Mumbai, with a background in mathematics. I feel fortunate that my academic journey has unravelled an ocean of knowledge in climate change and sustainability with overlapping perspectives on science and society. This degree has equipped me with an in-depth understanding of technical, economic, environmental, and social systems through extensive research, analysis, design, and modelling approaches. Since my post-graduation, I have dedicated my time towards understanding the multi-faceted nuances and the trade-offs attached to this domain. I firmly believe increasing awareness and sensitivity towards any global issue is the stepping stone to solve it. These provide a sense of ownership and make us understand that this is our problem and we all are in this together. Thus, in my internship with WWF-India, I was focused on sensitizing and inculcating a sense of responsibility among the school students and citizens towards nature through various nature trails and conservation workshops. Moreover, in this internship, the underlying theme of the work that I had done resembles that of a communicator, a researcher, and a coordinator.Apart from this, I am also an avid volunteer. I have volunteered with different environmental and social welfare organizations such as Worldwide fund for nature (WWF-India), UNESCO-India, Feeding India, et al. I am the recipient of the “3rd Change-maker volunteer” award by WWF-India for my outstanding volunteering contributions towards tackling different environmental challenges. I see myself as a climate change, and sustainable development professional in the near future- one who strongly advocates for climate justice and equity and works towards protecting the most vulnerable.
