At Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation I was able to get an insight into the functions of a broadcasting company. I was assigned to the following sections of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation during the training period.• Maintenance Division• Power and AC Division• Main Control Room• Studios• Transmission DivisionDuring this period I was able to understand the basic operations of a broadcasting provider from production to transmission. I was exposed to many types of communications technologies which included microwave and satellite.

Three key areas were covered in this training period namely building construction, road construction, and administration of workmen.Road and building construction sites were visited often to experience site work firsthand. The guidance of the supervising engineer was helpful in getting an insight into the administration of workmen and staff.
