CurrentIn year 2006, I moved to Open Solutions, Gurugram, a product company in banking domain, primarily a C# shop building a thick client application. Here I grew in role and responsibilities over the years. We built Shared Application Framework team in year 2006, whose main responsibility is to give boiler plate code on top of Microsoft dot net framework so that different product can build business capabilities fast and use a reliable and mature Framework for building win forms, web services and database access layer. This also provided single sign on to multiple products and also provided guidelines how to do authorization in different products.Over the years, Framework added WPF and WCF infrastructure focusing on extensibility where in bank can customize WPF screens, validation rules on both client and server side, server side activities.The team is also engaged in building Visual Studio tooling so that client can easily build extension and deploy the extensions.Considering device neutrality, infrastructure for HTML5 screens using Angular was also developed. REST services were introduced for backend. This infrastructure was primarily used in newly developed workflows where screens are coded in AngularJS and workflow definitions are provided by Rest Api on top of windows workflow foundation. To support REST flavor Security Token Service (STS) providing JWT token was also developed.Now there is exercise going on to transform the product to web based product from a thick client which will be primarily a collection of cards developed in Angular (Type Script).
